I love the way this read so naturally, like pure memory pouring out onto the page, or on this case the screen ;-) I especially like the opening:

Skiing is for the big kids. Like my brother. He has skis. But we, the little ones, my little brother and me, we have sleds.

This opening paragraph shows such a wonderful economy of words as well as a poetic feel to it. Lovely freewrite @mariannewest
