Through Her Eyes
Tightly closing her eyes, and feeling her way around the room, Candy let out a scream, “Mom have you seen my pink eyeglasses?”
” Look in the bathroom sweetie.”
“I’ve looked there, but I am not able to see very well without my glasses.”
“Candy we have been through this a thousand times. You have 20/20 vision and you are able to see without eyeglasses.”
“No one can see through my eyes but me,” Candy continued to shout as she falls across the plush purple chair weeping. Barking reverberates.
Fluffy runs across the room and jumps up on Candy, releasing her pink eyeglasses from his drooling jaws.
“I love you Fluffy,” Candy declares as she retrieves her glasses from her lap and pets her hero on the head.
Candy rides the bus to school and is greeted by her friend Chantel and her service dog. “Sorry I’m late Chantel, I couldn’t find my pink eyeglasses.”
“Oh how I wish I can see through your magic eyeglasses Candy. Tell me what you see.”
Walking hand and hand with her friend, Candy dramatically describes all the surroundings in the school yard that her friend is not able to see.” “Now here comes Dave in a loud colored florescent t-shirt. He still likes you and is admiring your hair…”
“Did he smile when he walked by me?” ‘Oh yes, girl…he was grinning and did a double take.”
“Oh Candy, I’m so glad I can see through your eyes.”
"Don't worry Chantel, my pink magic eyeglasses can help you see."
