The futility of the medical system continues to baffle me..... I went in for my pain management appointments and in my records I have a type of scoliosis. The imaging from the hospital showed that the Scoliosis is now spreading into the thoracic region. It is the thing that is causing me all of this pain when I sit up and try to work. Yes I have pain in my lower hip area too but That's for when I'm walking. As far as sitting up at a computer, this Scoliosis, that I wasn't born with by the way, all of the pain and all of the weird discomfort feeling that I have in my back. It is from that. You see it's not really scoliosis, it's an injury but because it's a curvature of the spine into the throrasic region they label it as such. That is how they get away with not fixing people under the medicaid system.

I do what I can to facilitate my body in healing. I want want to heal. So when I went in to see my pain management doctor, I told him about this fake scoliosis that's getting worse and how I believed a nice LSO Thorasic Scoliosis brace could help facilitate healing and proper postutre. He looked at me (and it was very much appreciated) and said I dont think Medicaide would cover it. He was honest with me. I appreciate honesty more than anything because then I know a place to start. He told me of a medical supply store that would fit me for a brace. To just bring the paper showing what type of Scoliosis I have and theyd set me up the right way. I appreciated his honesty.

I'm thinking of doing a Go Fund Me or if there are any suggestions my fellow Steemians have I'd love to hear them. I need that brace.

I feel always like I'm treading in mud. Never getting anywhere. Two steps forward, one step back. I'm getting somewhere, just not too fast. Yesterday the specialist ordered for me to get fitted for a LSO lumbar support brace. Now I know it wont be approved and I'll never get that. You see theyll act like they are doing somethingfir you and then the Medicaid stops it from happening. Dr. O was honest with me. I appreciate honesty.

A lot of people dont. They bitch, fight and create conflict. It's not what I'm here for. I'm more than willing to work with my doc and around what we can do because of the insurance, rather than them pretending there doing something. Only for later it not to be approved then you have disappointment.

So honesty is a must when working with doctors. I think they can get in trouble is why they aren't more honest with patients. I'm thinking most people would bitch for the insurance to cover it, run and tell what the doctor said. Maybe they get repercussions for being honest. In any rate I appreciate his honesty and hope to get myself in a comfortable living situation one day. But mark my words you'll see, eventually one day if I do get social security that's when all the doctors are gonna wanna fix you. It's all a dog and money show. You need to educate yourself. Pain management doesn't mean something isn't wrong with you. It means they are just managing your symptoms and you don't have money to have other services. It's just that simple. Its disheartening in a way. I just have to keep moving forward and press for honesty from the docs. That way I can get myself where I need to be. I don't expect perfect, it way past the point for my life to be normal again but I would like to live comfortably. That isn't too much to ask for. Especially when I think that the posture support scoliosis brace could help facilitate more pain free lifestyle, over taking Lyrica everyday. It made my urine brown. Its horrible. The doctor said it was the safest of all the nerve medications out there at the moment. So instead of taking it twice A-day every day like I used to and gonna take it on the days that I need to; if I'm up and walking around. Instead of taking it twice A-day taking it in the mid day of when I'm doing what it is that I'm doing. When the pain starts.
