The road to the forbidden paradise

in #freewrite5 years ago

I don't know what to begin with, i feel helpless and strangled, overwhelmed by those feelings of sadness and pitiful situation of those poor immigrants trying to escape the living hell of their countries, hoping of a better future. They suffered for years and years and still from tyranny and misfortune of their home countries which treated them as slaves or even a jungle where the survival is meant for the fittest and strongest.
Deprived of their most natural rights such as adequate health care, fixed minimum wage in order to guarantee their financial situation if ever the economic situation goes down and not a relative percentage as if those people are some sort of stocks to trade in stock market. Due to all that, they see the sea as the only way out of their misery, thinking that the moment they step on that boat, heaven gates will open automatically as if they are about to enter a supermarket. But boy they are wrong! That journey into the forbidden paradise as their countries see’s it is the hardest and toughest journey ever to exist.
The countdown begins, they start packing what they need for the trip, saying goodbye to their loved ones, and head towards a hidden location away from the sight of the coastguards. The smuggler loads them as if they were merchandise because his only concern is money, he does not care if all the passengers get to the promise land as much as he does love the feeling of having money warming his pocket in the cold and dark night. He puts everyone in his place, the boat is full and ready to board, and engines are on. The so called captain takes the rudder and navigates through the hard raging waves of the sea. They thought it would be a calm cruise but unluckily the odds turned against them, it is like if some sort of evil powers trying to hold them back off. The boat start shaking as if someone is about to have an Epileptic fit. So in order to save the boat and continue the trip, the captain starts throwing people randomly in a way like he had a deal with the sharks. Blue turns into red, and only hands can be seen floating, hands forming a fist as if telling: “despite the hard situation we didn’t die for nothing, at least we tried to break the chains around our necks!”
