The Recycle Basket

“I'm off to see Bill Gates.”

“Wow, good luck with that. What is the purpose?”

“I have a new idea for Windows.”

“Go on, this sounds interesting.”

“It is called The Recycle Basket.”

“The Recycle Basket?”

“Yes, the Recycle Basket.”

“But, there's already a Recycle Bin. Why would Windows need a Recycle Basket?”

“Because it will look different from the Recycle Bin. It will have a better icon.”

“But, there's already a Recycle Bin. It needs to be different.”

*It is different.”

“How?”

“It has a different icon.”

“Apart from the different icon, what else will be different?”

“It will be called Recycle Basket instead of Recycle Bin.”

“I don't think Bill Gates is buying this.”

“Yes, he is. He is buying this.”

“How?”

“Because it's different from the Recycle Bin.”

“How?”

There is a pause.

“You see, when things are deleted from the Recycle Bin, it goes to the Recycle Basket.”

“I see, it's like another level of ‘Are You Sure?’ Like “Are You Really Sure?”

“Or even 'Are You Really Really Sure?’”

“That would need something else again. like a Recycle Skip.”

“I'm starting to get on board with this idea.”

“Thank you.”

“When are you going?”

“Tuesday.”

“Are you sure?”

“Yeah.”

“Are you really sure?”

“Yes, I'm really sure.”

“Are you really really sure?”

“Stop it. Please stop asking. I'm going.”

“Good luck with that.”

“One thing to remember though.”

“What is that?”

“First rule of the Recycle Basket.”

“What is it?”

“Don't tell anyone about Recycle Basket.”

“What is the second rule?”

“Remember rule number one.”

“But you've just told me.”

“I think it is ok to tell yourself.”

“Yes, I'm sure that's ok. Let's get to bed, we have a busy day ahead of us.”

“Would you like the light on or off?”

“Off.”
