There are no teachers in the school. The students arrive as normal, but there is nobody there to greet them.

This is a primary school with over a thousand students. Most of the children are going to their classrooms as normal.

It is now 8.15am. 15 minutes after the usual school start time. Students are noisy and running around in the corridors.

This may be fun for some students, but for others, they are finding the situation scary. Zahra is one of them. She is usually very shy, but she really feels that someone has to take control of the situation.

She walks down to the reception area. There is a microphone and sound system which connects to the speakers all throughout the school.

Zahra takes a deep breath.

"I can do this."

She slowly and nervously reaches over to the microphone switch. She takes another deep breath.

"Please can you all stand for the national anthem?"

The anthem is playing all around the school. The students have all stopped. They are standing and respecting the anthem.

When it finishes, Zahra feels the need to continue.

"You don't need to have your teachers here to behave. You can take your own leadership. Learn for yourself. Read a book, do some maths, write a story. There's so much to do."

Zahra walks around to see if her message has worked. It has. Everything feels so much calmer. All of the students are working well.

"Imagine if the teachers walked in now," Zahra thinks to herself. "They would be so proud."

The once shy Zahra has done something incredible. She has risen. She feels so confident, that she rushes to the office of the Head of the School. The door is open.

"I have a great idea for the next school production," said Zahra, excitedly.

"Let's hear it then, Zahra."

It turned out to be the best show ever.
