Duck! (5 Minute Freewrite)
Prompt: Ducks
“Duck!” shouted Ian
“Duck,” shouted Ian again.
Bob did duck, two times. “Why?”
“It’s going to be for our tea,” said Ian. “We’re having duck.”
“Why are you shouting so loud?” said Bob. “If the Australians hear, we'll be easy prey.”
Ian is looking confused.
“They'll tease us all afternoon. Everytime they are about to bowl a ball they'll be encouraging us to fail; you'll be out for a duck."
Ian and Bob are well known cricket players who play for England. They are playing Australia, their bitter rivals.
If you don't what cricket is, it is a bat and ball game. If a batsman scores zero then he is “out for a duck.”
- I just got interrupted by my baby.
Back to the story which has been interrupted.
Before I got interrupted by my baby, England were going to be on the brink of defeat. Ian was going to play the game of his life and clinch victory for England from the jaws of defeat.
However, moods change. It is raining. This is England. It does that. In fact, it rained for five days and had no cricket was played.
Instead, both players of England and Australia became best friends and they all ate duck and drank red wine.
Goes to show that the impossible can happen after all.

Thank you. Cricket is a weird sport, mainly played in England, Australia, South Africa, New Zealand, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka and the West Indies (Caribbean countries).
babies sure can change the mood lol
