Freewrite 5 min prompt: Monkey’s Wedding

Let me first tell you that when I read the word “Monkey’s wedding” I was in deep thoughts that what does it really mean?

Why?

Because in our language, there are no such terms as Monkey’s wedding. In fact, we use the word “Jackal’s wedding” for the phenomenon in which there are simultaneous rain and sunshine.

Now I am going to hold your hand to take you into my childhood. There is a very sweet-plus-tragic memory attached to this word “Jackal’s Wedding” or you can say “Monkey’s wedding”. I along with my friends was passing through a narrow street and there were simultaneous rain and sunshine. There was so much rush in the street and the rush was a definite indication that there must be a ceremony going on. From the messy makeups of kids, we can guess that the ceremony is a wedding ceremony. I without realizing that there is a wedding going on loudly called my friend that today’s is "Jackal’s wedding".

As soon as I said that word, you would not believe that there came a storm. A huge sized Aunty became red with rage and slapped me.

I was like what happened?

She asked me,”why are you calling my nephew a Jackal?”

Without realizing what is going on, I ran away from the street and the aunty followed me for a bit but she was too big to catch me. As soon as I reached my street through another narrow street I asked my friend that what made her angry. He asked if I did not say “Today is Jacka’s wedding?”. I replied in affirmative.

I thought I will never use this word again when there is a wedding going on. Hopefully, no wedding is going on on Steemit.com.
