Day 35: 5 Minute Freewrite - Prompt: bittersweet : Sunset by the beach

This was supposed to be a happy time for us. We have just turned one year and here we are clinging to some wood, choking on the seawater, our eyes stinging from the saltiness of the ocean and our own tears.

It could not end like this. A bittersweet moment of being so happy at life for making me love her and in an instant being faced with our mortality.

They say that love conquers all. Well I do hope we will conquer this and live on. Hopelly this will be one of the stories of How I met your mother and lived to a ripe old age still loving her.

I looked at the sky and sent out a plea to God to save not just us but the boy who disappeared.

Life is so precious to be cut down like this. We have so many plans to do. Memories to make. Please let it not be a bittersweet memory of lost....
