Goats and Thoughts - Freewrite

This is a freewrite inspired by this prompt. This piece is not edited besides fixing spelling errors.

A goat ate my best friends hat and she was sooooo mad! I had to laugh! Doesn't she know that goats eat everything? Why would you go to a goat farm and bend down and pet a goat with a hat on which cost you so much money?
For one, I think it is crazy to save and save and save so you can buy that piece of clothing you hardly ever can wear because it doesn't fit into your lifestyle.
Well, my friend did it differently. She fit that hat into her lifestyle - she wore it everywhere we went. It didn't matter if it fit with the outfit - or the occasion for that matter.
That hat was a big straw hat and it had all kinds of fruit on the rim. It looked like a fruit bowl and so, my friend, short and round like she is, looked like a walking fruit bowl. For tall people, it was like they could just reach out and get some of the delicious fruit.
Actually, I think that is how that whole thing got started. A bunch of performance artist took hats and made them into real life fruit bowls. Then they sat down in the middle of town with a sign saying: Help yourself. There was a hidden camera involved which showed the reaction of people a couple of streets down on a huge screen.
So funny. Someone sits there with a hat full of fruit. They look delicious. But would you take one. Would you talk to the person and find out what they are up to? Would you walk away?
