Day 230: 5 Minute Freewrite: Wednesday - Prompt: wet

Three months ago, he had duped his sister's husband of a huge sum of money. He is here to enjoy the good life, that was easy he thought because of her trust. He smiled.

He now own a house, a mansion, in which he party all day long. No one knows him here, and his lavish style of living has ensured everyone stick around to get something and have some fun. The police has been on his trail, but for how long will this be... His sister's husband keeps them on their toes, checking in every week to know the progress made on finding him. "Soon" that's always the answer.

They were having one of their usually party one evening, when the police busted in. They've got an intel from one informat about his location, he had expected it, it's something that he thinks of almost everyday. He had packed a bag, for in case this happens, while the police were shouting orders for the large crowd in the building. He made his way to his room, picking up his already packed bag and headed for the secret exit that leads to another corner of the street.

When he came out from the exit into the street, unexpectedly he saw one of the police cars.. He didn't hesitate, he picked up his pace and soon as he knew they had noticed him, he ran. It had rained earlier and the ground was wet, but he still managed to run as fast as he could. He was knocked down by a man in Black, they came prepared, Isn't it? He was caught.

She was in the kitchen making dinner, when her husband called her to come watch the news on TV, "They caught him" he shouted. It was the news about her brother being caught and in custody of the police. This past months while they struggled to get back on their feet and pick up from their losses, she felt nothing more than an overwhelming hatred for her brother. But at the news of him being caught, she became sad... Blood is thicker than water they say, she had began to imagine what it will be like for her brother now, her parents and other siblings. He deserved it, doesn't he?

He noticed she wasn't taking news well, so he stood and moved over to her he hugged her, patting her back while she cried!!!
