Day 229: 5 Minute Freewrite: Tuesday - Prompt: scratch

"Now, I have to start from scratch" He said. His wife looked at him, then bows in shame. She wouldn't dwell in shame anymore for her part in the whole process, she has apologized over and over again. "It's about time, we move on" She said looking at him now.
Move on! or Didn't I hear you clearly, you're the cause of this misfortune! I should have known, I shouldn't have allowed it... He began to lament. She stood ready to leave him till he's over his anger. But he wouldn't have it, he wanted company. That's what he needs now to remain sane, so he stood quickly, pulled her close and hugged her... "I'm sorry" He said.
She hugged him tighter and said "I'm sorry, I never knew my own brother could be a fraudster, I wouldn't hurt you or your business, she sobs.
"I understand, he won't go scot free, he will be caught soon" he assured her.
