5 Minute Freewrite - Hair
I need to get a haircut. I got one right before our trip to Texas, but I knew I would not be getting one while we were gone, no matter how long we were gone. How did I know? Because I'm a cheapskate. Have you seen the prices for a haircut these days? When I was small it was like $1.00 for a haircut. Now they are $10 or more.
I only get a haircut around my house. I live in the Philippines. Haircut there are still $1 or less in some places. You can also get a shave for about the same price. I can even have a barber come to my house here in the Philippines. They charge more for that, but I'll pay $1.50 or $2 if I have to.
I have no clue why haircuts have gotten so high. How have the costs gone up? For the air conditioner in the barber shop? Electrical prices have not gone up that much, have they? It just seems silly to me and I will not pay that much money for a haircut again.
