Some change - Freewrite
I left work in a big hurry.
I always did.
It's not that I had anywhere particular that I needed to be. Somehow knowing that it's time to leave work just makes me want to run out the door though.
This busy restaurant never really gives us a break. As soon as I get my chance I am gone.
Hopping in my old beatup Ford, I slam the door and turn the key. The starter's old and it takes about 2 minutes before it actually cranks.

The radio is at full volume as I screech out of the parking lot.
I'm done hearing people complaining for the day.
I think I'm just going to get a pizza and a six pack and watch some TV. Nothing wrong with that.
Pulling into the same grocery store I always go to, I can't help but notice an oddity.
A pretty young woman in a wedding dress appears to be going a car to car and knocking on the driver side windows.
"Can you spare some change?" I hear her ask a nearby driver in a black Honda Accord. He waves her away.
Since I work at a restaurant I pretty much always have change in my pocket and I'm quite interested to see what this is all about.
"Change mister?" she approaches my car in much the same manner as all the rest.
"Well you've certainly got my attention. Do you mind if I ask what you're doing out here wearing that wedding dress asking for change?"
"Well I was about to get married...... but I've changed my mind." she looks up at the sky.
"What exactly happened to bring you here to this parking lot?" I mused.
"I was just thinking that I wanted a six pack and a pizza. There's nothing wrong with that is there?"
I told her I didn't have any change right now but I might have some on the way out.
As I approached my car with a 12 pack and a pizza, I tossed her a beer.
"You know I'm pretty sure I have a lot of change at my house...... I've definitely got a good selection of movies."
As we headed off into the sunset together I wondered if I still had my old tuxedo.

Life becomes difficult when we choose a career that we are name born for. However, it happens in this world that not all of us have this option of choosing a career so most of the times, for majority of the people in the world, careers choose the people. This is one big reason that makes our lives difficult because we spend a portion of everyday being available for that job and when we are off, we still have to think of the raise in salary, pending tasks, office politics and things like that. I remember, I fired my boss back in 2012 and never went for a job again. I'm not making 6 figure but I'm making far more than what I used to make at my previous job. Plus, I have this freedom to work as per choice.
