5 Minute Freewrite Prompt : Swirls of cigarette smoke

Sipping his favorite cup of coffee, he felt a sense of calmness flowing through his entire body. This was his ME time and it's known to many of his friends that he must not be disturbed; no matter how urgent the matter may be. And it has been like this for the past four years three months and twelve days.

Sitting down in Cafe Long Sierre in that same table overlooking the courtyard where everyone walks pass with haste. The pedestrians are so involved in whatever they were doing that nothing bothered them at all. For him, it's the sight of people that distracts him whenever he's here. At a corner, he saw a young couple kissing passionately while an old man sat down on the bench with a cigarette packet on his left hand. He seemed to have just enjoyed a moment because he saw swirls of cigarette smoke just above his nose.

Wait for me here, my love.
I shall return when the sunsets.

Those were her last words and he held on to it; believing that she would return. And for that, he had sat on this same table everyday waiting for her to return. It's only when the sun has finally set would he then leave but he would always return the following day.
