5 Minute Freewrite - Feeling The Love

The whole city was totally isolated, not a single soul was seen walking on this side of the town. No one dared to after the numerous murder cases in the last 3 weeks. Bodies were found in the back alleys, burned beyond recognition. Even the mortuary officers could not determined the real course of these murders.

Inspector Robertson had been send over from Scotland Yard to investigate these gruesome murders. No more than 2 hours since his arrival into this forsaken city, he had visited all the crime scenes, the morgue & also read all the crime reports. With minimal knowledge of the dark hidden history of Woodhill County, Inspector Robertson decided to walk the streets on his own. With no backup, many would call him CRAZY as no sane man or women would do so.

But, he wasn't mad. He knew this town very well, too well perhaps like the back of his hand; like the blood that flows inside his veins... Oh My ! If only they all knew what he knew. He wasn't forcefully send by his Superiors instead, he had made it seemed so. The moment he heard of the news of the murders in Woodhill County, he had made plans for his transfer to be possible. Of course, the fact that no one wanted to be send to this forsaken town made it easy for him.

Oh ! How I've missed it here. Who could ever stay away from it all. I must've been crazy to stay away this long.

Inspector Robertson was wrapped up with the overpowering of love for this town that he did not realized that someone had come behind him. He was pushed down to the ground, face smudged with soil & mud. He couldn't move at all, it was like he was placed into a trance & lost all power of physical control.
