Sheila had too many sweaters. They tumbled on her head when she opened her wardrobe. She had to swim to the surface of them. They kept coming out of her closet. They seemed to be without end. She swam into the wardrobe and wound up on an open sea, Narnia-style, of sweaters. A yarn whale breached nearby and blew its blowhole, sending up loose threads.
Here and there she found buttons. She wove them together into a raft that rode atop the yarn waves.
When all was said and done, there was an insane demon singing tiptoe through the tulips. Sorry for the abrupt right turn. I'm listening to some musics shared by a punster on my punday post, and it reminded me of Halloween Horror Nights from when Stina was in the scary maze about that one show... in in something insomnia? No... Insidious, that's it.
It's over. But that song. My heavens, it is truly demonic seeming. Why? Is it just that it's a ... that word that means high pitched male. Not vibrato, though it's that as well. Falsetto. Isn't it funny how you can find things while typing? Our brains are funny. I always think, "I'll never find the word if I don't stop to think about it" and sometimes I don't, but often it comes to me while I talk around it.
Like Tautology probably would have, but luckily Matt provided it.

When I was severely anemic a few times over the past few years, I had the dreadful experience of losing access to my full vocabulary. (Not enough iron, not enough oxygen to the brain.)
There would be weeks when basically every meaningful descriptive word I tried to say would be accompanied with, essentially, "what is that word that... means such and such... I think it might start with an R or have an R in it?" Eventually I just got really quiet because I like words too much to have such an adversarial relationship with them. Thank goodness for iron infusions. Please brain, don't grow old and useless. It's terrifying.
Speaking of terrifying...https://steemit.com/contest/@f3nix/finish-the-fiction-story-contest-week-10
That was a fun read. I like the visuals at the beginning.
That was fun though I'm quite lost at the second half, but the imagery of the sweaters ocean, I think that will be a nightmare for me haha
Ok, well that was a bit of a whirlwind. And who the hell is Matt? Did I miss something?
It’s your puzzled prompt deliverer here with today’s challenge: https://steemit.com/freewrite/@mariannewest/day-195-5-minute-freewrite-wednesday-prompt-the-entryway
HAHA! Love the yarn whale! And I feel your pain while listening to Tiny Tim...like fingernails down the chalkboard. I listened one time only because a friend wanted me to and never again. : )
