Heavens to betsy. It seems as if Jesus, rather than resurrecting on this day got mixed up in some other religions, and reincarnated! He's this blueberry I just ate.
You know the saying, "A man with a beard has trouble eating crumbs"? What does that mean? Does it mean you should get a beard because then you'll get a whole slice of bread and not have to subsist on crumbs, or does it mean, if you have to eat crumbs, you shouldn't get a beard? And what do they stand in for? Is the beard, like, confidence? And the crumbs and or not-crumbs are the ego boosts of others? Or is the beard a mask, and the crumbs are genuine appreciation from others.
Man, that phrase is rich with meaning. I think it might be both depending on the speaker. How do you use the phrase in everyday life? If you're not a native English speaker, do you have a similar phrase in your language? Let me know in the comments below!
