Oh, good one.
Do you ever feel Overwhelmed to the extent that you're paralyzed. I think that's a common theme with me lately.
I just can't seem to get myself to spend my hours that I'm not with my kid deciding which of the many things on my to-do list to do.
I'm not 100% sure why that is. MAyyyybe I'm overwhelmed, but a big part of it, too, is that I feel overall discombobulated. Which I guess is similar? But it's not like I haven't made a decision about what to do next. Like, today I said, "I'm going to edit my V.O. reel." But I start and stop and start and stop and never feel like I'm making real progress, and then it's the end of the night, and I kind of wish I had just spent the night relaxing. Maybe that's it, to some extent. There's not a lot of relaxing. Hanging out with the kid is a joy, but it's not relaxing, and so I use these precious hours up trying to do things when I maybe should be relaxing to recharge instead of pushing to do something when I'm feeling tired.
But also, I have a, "just do the work one step at a time, there won't be a time to catch up. Now is that time." perspective.
Well, whatever.
Isn't it nice?

I read a book about this - How We Learn - and taking frequent breaks is good, but spending less time trying apparently is even better.
