Ain't no mountain high enough, they say.
Our world is too small. I mean that. We need a universe. We need more more more. Always more. Sure, we could be much better about using what we have, but the universe is so big. If we can just get there, it'll be a long time before we come even close to filling it up, even if we continue to be as inefficient as we are.
Mountain peak? Is that an accomplishment? When there are pools of liquid nitrogen on Jupiter, and molten lead on Mercury?
Let me climb just one spire on Mars. I will walk all around Pluto in a day. And help me find the asteroid that has my name emblazoned on it merely by coincidence.
We don't have time to each see it all, but let's make sure that some pair of human eyes takes in every detail.
Photons are tiny, but not tiny enough. If we don't get there, we won't see the details. And there are too many things worth seeing to be willing to miss even one iota of possibility.
Do your best to keep up. From now on, I'm walking fast. I may even jog a few steps because I'm eager to see another thing.

Wow that was very beautifully written @improv, we all do strive forward to reach higher and higher, it's both humanities blessing and sometimes our curse, if we try to reach too high too fast and run into unintended consequences, but forward we move always striving for more and for reaching higher, it's awesome.
