I have chicken, except I don’t. I don’t know I don’t know.
Chicken. Bwak. Bwak.
There doesn’t seem to be enough chicken to go around. There’s a lot of life on planet earth, but only a little of it is chicken. Get lost inside the chicken head. The chicken thonks of the ground as food. To peck for mealworms is its calling. Chicken feed chickens bleed. Say good bye to the gentle chicken soul. Not because the chicken is dead, but because you have roused the angry chicken, bellowing feed my soul, dammmit. Follow this chicken to and fro. It opens the belly of earth and dives below the deepest depths of hell to find a more profound hell. Upon the chicken’s back rde the armies of hell. Demon spawn and prawn and demon’s pawn. Follow the path of the rooster and turn away or follow the Bantam hen, and go to hell and back again.
Live no more lies lest the chicken thighs greet you morning noon and night.
Upon the yellow chicken back rides also a crow. His name is forgotten in the mists of histories. He is known, however. He is forsaken. He is forsook. He asks and receives the wisdom of many centuries of stories. This is the chicken story. This is the chicken stock.
Hearty noodle soup, light broth, but jam packed with vegetables and vegetable jams. Follow me follow me follow me cries the last lost lone chicken. And so you do. Let it lead you upwards from the light into the darkness of everlasting Night. Into the space between the stars.
