I said yesterday that I wanted wine in order to help me through my tasks. I might do that tonight, but I haven't yet. For now, a clear mind is probably preferable, at least until I get into the swing of things. I'm pretty happy with my sense of motivation right now. i'm certainly tempted by other things. I also hear a weird ringing that I;m worried is coming from the kitchen, but it... I need to check.

NVM it was the air conditioning in this room. That's right. Air conditioning in April, which is not a time of year that it's really hot ANYWHERE. Except, obviously not. It's pretty hot here, at least in the sun. I... bison.

Speaking of bison, did you know that something I made up. I mean [something I made up]

I grow weary of my own attempts to come up with made up things. What do I really know of bison? They're fluffy. They make burgers out of them which aren't really noteworthy except that it feel special... They were nearly hunted to extinction. There use to be a lot of them. They feature heavily in The Neverending Story.

Oh, that's a good segue to say, isn't it fascinating how the Germans are into native american stereotypes. The Neverending Story is actually Die Unendliche Geschichte, and there's no doubt in my mind that Atreyu and his tribe of purple buffalo hunters is evocative of his image of Native Americans. American Indians did, indeed, hunt bison.
