Train | 5-minute Daily Freewrite by @mariannewest

I just finished sneaking in some water into my son's G-tube and am still thinking about yesterday's 5-minute's prompt - train. I was supposed to write on it this morning and now it is another morning 2am. #momslife.

I was tempted earlier on to write about Thomas the Train or Chuggington... But...nah...I won't write on that. Enough on the mom's brain.

Now, just before the next milk's tube-feed, instead of taking a short nap, I am typing here. Steemit must have gotton me madly in love in order for me to do that. And I was thinking of the #gratitudetrain which @jaynie started it sometime back. That had inspired me to give thanks and be grateful everyday for little tiny things in my life. Yes...even that tiny lizard which helps me to clear the house by eating the flies. 😂 Gratitude is a boost in life.

Our train of thoughts are so important in our daily life — they either tear you into pieces or they build you up. Negative thoughts and positive thoughts respectively. Our thoughts indeed need training. People who come from negative upbringing tend to have negative thoughts if they are not properly guided. More so for those who are in abusive environment with deep hurts and severe fear.

However, in my years of counselling, there is hope for negativity. It can be substituted with positivity through proper guidance, adequate nurturing and appropriate action. Negative thoughts, if properly trained, can be gradually replaced by positive thoughts through time by speaking the positive and ponder, utter and mutter the optimistic statement. Some sort of declaration or positive confession. Through times, if this is done regularly, the negativity will be pulled down from the mindset, leaving the positive ones to conquer the brain.

Positive mindset will eventually be the default mode of our train of thoughts. Hope this helps to shed some lights on the pessimistic.

Love the article and absolutely agree with your thought. You know, recently i was surrounded with lots of negativity but i set up my mind and try to take everything positively. Yes, you are right , negativity can be removed by positive thoughts. All about mind set..

Oh yes. Negativity won't do any good to our soul and emotion. I have been there too, in fact several times. Need to have a drastic switch in the mindset and of course if people are the cause of the negativity, then have to seclude. ourselves awhile. 😊 Hope this helps.
