Haywire (5-minute Freewrite: Prompt - Wire)
Coming from perfectionist background (me in the past), I love being organised. Plan the work, work the plan, used to be my main motivator of life. Most of the time, what I planned would work out.
However, life took a big detour once I became a mother. The baby introduced me a new word called "haywire". In the "haywire", many others words started to come into my life too.
Random.
Unpredictable.
And even...
Plan for nothing.
When you had set to leave house early for an event, you baby pooped. When you decided to have a fast meal, you baby vomitted halfway eating. When you planned a vacation, your baby fell ill. Change plan!
Yes, now this is my lifestyle - I plan the work, my work revolves around the children.
Life has never been the same again. You plan the work, and you flow along. Sometimes I do not plan anymore. Sometimes I do for the sake of being me.
But life has nothing short of surprises now. Haywire still. Random always. Unpredictable events - alot. Lots of meltdown. Throwing tantrum.
However, amidst the haywire, lies laughter and joy. Alot of of hugs and kisses. Unending "I love you" and "I am sorry".
I would not trade this lifestyle with anything else. If you would ask me whether do I regret being a mother? Or do I want to turn back time so to plan towards a life with no haywire?
Nope. Never regret. And this is the life I will commit to.

I don't know how anyone writes anything - other than shopping lists - once children are on board. It was only when mine had grown and left home could I ever find the time and, more importantly, the headspace to write. I will take a look at freewrite but know I plan my planning!
Yes you can try freewrite. @mariannewest will come out with the daily prompt and we write accordingly. I know right it is so hard to write once the children are on board. We just try our best.
STOP
I enjoyed reading your freewrite! I can surely relate to it! Having a child does make planning and organization a harder thing to achieve but I too wouldn’t change it for the world :)
Yeah we won't change it for the world :) 😍
Haha I love it! So true... In fact, my excuse for not freewriting is mainly that my children have stolen all my mental energy... One of these days Ill join you guys...
Great work!
It does take alot of motivation to start. But once you start the momentum will pick up eventually. ☺
Ughhh baby mummy you said it all! It's really not easy moving around and going about our daily business with little ones on tow. Working from home with now two babies has opened up a new set of challenge. Lately I have found myself constantly pissed, annoyed and screaming. Not forgetting the constant change in plans. But yes, lots of hugs and kisses and 'I love you' and 'I'm sorry' grace along the journey too. And I would gladly do it again in a heartbeat. Xx
I know right. But then I guess all these flexibility will cause our brain to swell too. I mean we will become smarter as we journey with them. 😍
Now maybe planning and execution can be difficult for you. But later when your kids are grown, you will need those skills again. I suggest you not to leave your planning. Keep doing it and one-day things will be better and your planning and perfection will help you. Cheers!!
yes @bala41288. Still naturally love planning. I will subconsciously plan in my head.
It almost sounds like you barely have time to #freewrite. I'm glad you do. Here is today's prompt: https://steemit.com/freewrite/@mariannewest/day-217-5-minute-freewrite-thursday-prompt-appetite
Thank you @wordymouth for delivering the prompt right at my doorstep ;)
