Core Values (5-minute Freewrite)

Had I joined Steemit without some core values, I would have ditched it some time ago. Commitment is the utmost value that I wear upon my neck since young. It always goes hand in hand with another important value, which is the ability to hold responsibility/ties at hand. In another word, simply be a responsible person.

I pick up these values by observing my parents. Unending life's challenges never a moment caused them to be less committed to the family or being irresponsible. They had four of us siblings, meaning more expenditure and more problems at home. It was a perfect match for chaos - two girls and two boys. No matter how many hardships they went through to raise us up, they hold these values strong in their heart - always committed to lay down their life for us, and never ran away from the responsibilities of parenting. In fact, until today, eventhough we are all grown ups, they still think they are responsible to pay some of our bills and be committed to make sure our families are well off.

Also, they stick to each other till today regardless of the countless disagreements or fights, all thanks to their commitment and responsibility for each other and for us. I consider myself blessed that their marriage is intact, therefore set forth an example for us to keep to our marriage vows for our spouses despite marriage' challenges.

Well, there is not a single life or work or marriage which comes without challenges. Whether a person stays on depends on his or her commitment and responsibility towards that particular sector of life. And maybe, maybe and perhaps, some just prefer to take an easy way out. And some have discovered other ways of doing things better. I am not here to judge, I am just merely typing out what comes to my mind on core values.

So...

The reason I am still here on Steemit is no longer based on the reason I joined initially - when SBD price was good, 1SBD = approx 10USD - but based on my commitment and responsibility I hold on to myself as a blogger and a freewriter. Also the communities here are awesome possum!

Another one which is inevitable is respect. In my opinion, no one is to be treated disrespectfully. Whether the person is in a saggy dirty rack or the person is shining so brightly with jewels and diamonds around, both are to be respected. There is not a single soul that God will not set His loving eyes upon. Each and everyone us are precious in His eyes. Therefore, I hold this value dearly in my heart. And I hope the younger generation will follow suit.

To me, if you are rich but you are bossy and disrespectfully, you are nothing but a flower that is going to wither soon. Any bad attitude will cause a degree of rottenness and decomposition within the soul. Hope my freewrite isn't too deep for pondering.

All in all, every core values in the world revolves around one main core value called LOVE. We are born out of love and so we are all love-being. I do want to believe that everyone wants to love and to be loved.

There are so many to write on this topic that eventhough my alarm clock beeps, I continue on for another 3 minutes. Ah...I see honesty here, another great core value. :)
