Ceiling | 5-minute Daily Freewrite by @mariannewest
"You all say, "Don't put ceiling on my head. Don't put ceiling on my head", but how can I not put ceiling on my head? I don't even need to do anything! And the ceiling come to me. Wherever I go. Whatever I do. There is this ceiling lurking above me. Waiting to fall on me. I am not like you. I am not like you all. Likeable. People naturally attracted to you without you needing to so anything. Me? I strive. I struggle. I try. But nobody will like me. You heard that? Nobody!!! Why you didn't say anything? Because it is true right? Nobody likes me. Not even my family. My cousins. My relatives. Nobody. And so how to not put ceiling on my head. I tried. I did try. Don't you dare to say I didn't. I try my hardest heart out and it didn't work. I am not brilliant. I am doomed. I will never find a suitable work because no work will like me. I am nothing with my autism. Nothing except autism. No. Not even one. I rather the ceiling falls on me and crush me forever... I... rather....," Emily began to sob.
Jane squated and wrapped her arms around Emily.
"Thank you for not giving up hope on me. I am sorry for being ridiculous. My words that I have spoken just now, I didn't mean to...." Emily's words came out abit shattered.
"You do know there are people who still love you. And most importantly you must love yourself. There must be something you are very good at. You're genius. You just haven't figured it out yet." Jane continued while passing a tissue to Emily.
