The voices in your head ain't working no more (freewrite)

Impalpable and unpalatable. These are the words that go through his strange mind, that is not strange to him, but this is not enough.

They have gone too far and he has now become too lost and he looks at the beautiful, slender girl beneath him and sees the curves of her hips rise up through her skin an his mouth twists into an ugly, almost monstrous turn.
He doesn't know why he's here or how and the monsters have begun screaming in his head and he curses, slightly, under his breath, because he' was naive and hoped things would last.
But things do not last and every moment, no matter how perfect and serene must come to an end. And so must this. He begins to cry, because he is not as strong as he thought and the girl reaches out and cradles him in her arms and she's soft and warm and smells of soap, and he loves her for it.
A desperate, burning sense of desire and love that he's grown so horribly familiar with. And he hugs her back and allows the tears to flow from his eyes. Tonight, he shall have to face the truth of his choices and of his desperate mind. Unable and most unwilling to comprehend sacrifice and compromise.
And the man eventually lets go of the hug and of the arms that could've grown to love him and he puts his clothes on.
Silence.
Dead.
There is nothing in the air between them and he walks out, not shedding one more tear.
And he shuffles down the first few steps, but then his pace grows angrier, more full of life and possibility. He already sees the night ahead, the love he will make, the people he'll see, the things he'll create.
In his mind, he sees it all.
