Soft (freewrite)

I breathe in the hot, musky scent and allow the dream to wash over me. Only it is not a dream, but wakefulness. Wonderful, alarming wakefulness – I stare at the soft room. It is soft, all over, because it is covered in towels. Of all shapes and sizes.
And cloths.
And words.
There are words inscribed on the towels, but they are very small words, so I have to come closer to be able to read. But...I am not here to read, I am here to enjoy, to relax, to allow all the troubles of yesterdays to wash away from me. I am here to be born anew.

I lie down on the table and wait for the masseuse to come in. I wonder, briefly, if it's a man or a female. I've always had strange fantasies about massage parlors, probably from all the jokes I used to tell as a kid. But my mind wanders and I can't focus on that for long The words are screaming for my attention and I figure since the masseuse isn't here yet, I might as well look again.
I hop off the massage table and start crawling around, examining the words on the soft pink floor. Funny, but they make no sense.
It's a scramble of words, a game. It's not a story. I begin to feel...scared.
Suspicious.
The words frighten me now. I walk up to the door and try the handle.
But it doesn't open.
I am locked in here.
With my jumble of words.
