The Over 20 Club

The Over 20 club started right after our 100-day of Freewrite Celebration. Then, we thought that many of the freewrites had been overlooked, especially from writers who just joined the platform.

And let’s face it. We ourselves sometimes forget what we did a couple of months ago. Well, maybe that is just me.

We love to do this freewriting journey, so we thought it a good idea to keep looking back a little bit.

Let me explain.

When we first started, just a few people were writing every day. And many of us were little tiny redfish or fairly small minnows. You know that means that our combined voting power was pretty low.
Many of the early freewrites had hardly any payout at all. Even now, that holds true for quite a few of us.

Still, so many of you stuck with it and kept on writing and you are still here today. Thank you for that!!!

The Over 20 Club is a way to allow some of those long forgotten pieces to shine again and give the authors a way to get a bit of a payout.

Here is how it works:

• I have a list of writers who have written at least 20 freewrites based on the daily prompt (found at @mariannewest). To qualify for the club, one must have written and tagged as such at least 20 freewrites and be active in the Freewrite community now.

• Every Friday, I will invite 2 authors to write a post showing us three or more of their own favorite freewrites which are past their payout.

• The writers have until Wednesday evening to post their showcase post.

• Use #over20club and #freewrite

If you submit your post

• You will receive a 100% upvote from the Freewrite House and several of us have committed to giving a 100% upvote as well.
• Friday's Daily Prompt will have links to the showcase posts and they will be featured in the next nomination post.
• Hopefully, many of you will give upvotes as well.
• You are entitled to add the Over 20 badge to your posts.
• If you submit your curation post by the Wednesday following the publishing of this post, your name will be entered into a spreadsheet. Once a month, we will do a random drawing for one SBI (@steembasicincome) membership from this list.
• Once you win, your name will be removed to give others a chance.
• It is up to the writers and the voters to participate - you are free to choose.
