5 Minute Freewrite Challenge Day 213 Five

In Thailand the word for the number "five" is pronounced "ha." Said in a very pleasant way with a lilt to it. It's an easy word to hear for westerners in this tonal language.

It’s awesome at the bank or anywhere that calls numbers, because you sit in a nice lobby and wait for your number to be called in place like that and they say numbers in Thai and English.

Therefore the “5” in any English number comes out with a happy thrill to the person’s voice. They keep their same lilt and you just know that person is smiling when they say their fives. My son @bxlphabet would love this as he enjoys any recorded public number calling since childhood.

Also – Thai people found out what haha means in English on the internet. So now when they laugh online it is said like:

• 555 for a quick laugh or
• 55555555555 when something is really funny

When I type 555 to my friends, I always tell them I speak Thai now and then they laugh more.
