FreeWrite prompt: wood, Quantum Thrills part 2
Satsui Hideyoshi was sick and tired of being underestimated by the other courriers. “Just because I’m an android” he often thought, “doesn’t mean I can’t hold my own”. He was riding like a pro, today was a Wednesday and the viewers were avid for his prowess as some risk drunken players had bet on him, the under dog, to deliver the quantum answer before the top stopped spinning. This top spinning competition would have seemed outlandish just a few years ago but now that quantum entanglement was all the rage, the rich and affluent were avid to see if the top would fall on its black or on its white half. Many gambled fortunes on this game. If the top stopped spinning before the courrier delivered his answer, the house would win. This answer was invariably correct but this time, Satsui made it in time but with the wrong answer. Was it because he wasn’t human and made of wood?

I wrote it with The most dangerous writting app which doesn’t allow you to stop and has a 5 minute timer. @marcoriccardi introduced me to this deadly app which does wonders for this challenge.
I put a 15 minute timer to make the illustration but I could not help myself and put a few extra minutes on it.
It was made with the Tatsui Sketches Pro app and the Apple Pencil. The watercolor tool is what makes the elements blend together.

I am sure it was because he was made of wood!!! Very cool illustrations!!
It must be!
I like the fantasy you put in this story...courriers carrying the quantum answer, wood androids...in a few lines you suggested an outlandish future world.
By the way, nice sketch!
Outlandish, I love that word!
I like this tale you have spun in a short amount of time. I want to know more about this world. Thanks! I'm delivering today's prompt: https://steemit.com/freewrite/@mariannewest/day-245-5-minute-freewrite-thursday-prompt-prototype
