5 Minute Freewrite Day 497: In The Club

The rain was left outside, and when the new sounds reached his ears, he was overwhelmed, scared, but in a weirdly pleasant way. The lights inside were dim, the music was soft, and he was pushed by his friend Dahlia, the bard who brought him to this place because he “needed to relax”. The both of them went towards a table in a corner with a good view towards the stage, where some classmates of Dahlia were playing.

This was “Chant de Lumière”, a place for students of the music department, and anyone with a passion for the sonic arts to reunite, perform, and enjoy a good night. Or day, people really liked to come here, and the young mage was actually considering becoming one of them, because while not his usual kind of activity, it felt nice to be in the club.

Their drinks were presented: two glasses and a bottle of a green liquid with a fairy engraved in its surface. He looked at it weirdly, and she just smiled and signaled for him to pour a shot, and watch the new perfomer that was just getting on stage. She was used to the girl, but for him, it was a spell. Blue hair, deep as a clear midnight’s sky, eyelashes like a fluttering Spirit Butterfly, and a voice smooth as the purest velvet, with a dash of honey and mint. He thought she looked at him, and for the rest of the night, dreams included, he was hers.
