So, how should we share the dividends?, asked the man in the tall chair to the other three people reunited, his voice slithering out of his mouth in a predatory way. The room they were in was dimly illuminated, letting only the most prominent features of their faces to be noticed, enough to signal their presence, who they were.
Empty cups in front of them previously held wine, now they were filled with the expectation and anxiety of who would dare to speak up and suggest something without fear of being accused of wanting to get a better percentage of their earnings. Why didn’t they just share in equal parts?, because everyone thought that they had played the biggest role in this endeavor, and they had never been team players.
Well, I’m tired of this crap, I want my money now! –said a voice coming from a beard-covered face. And where the heck is Boddynock?!
Right at that moment the door to the room opened, and a very small figure appeared, covered in rattled clothes, dust, cuts and bruises.
