Prompt of the day “A Smiling House” - Buy It Or Make It?
When faced with the question of purchasing a distraction for our friends 6 kids when we visit or making one we tend to try make as much of it as possible.
Next weekend we are heading over to SaltSpring Island to help our friend move. It will be good as where they are living now things have gotten pretty intense. They will be moving off the island which also be great for not having a ferry between our visits.
Now when we visit the kids either want our attention or some distraction, we are auntie and uncle to them. It gets expensive quick buying things for each kid, so what’s a good alternative to keep a smiling house?
Make it, they really enjoyed the last batch of play dough Mel made and brought over. Asking their mother if we will be bringing more, it’s a perfect healthy distraction. Engaged and out of our hair for most of the time it will help while loading the moving truck.

What a great gift!! I like homemade gifts way better than bought stuff and something to engage the imagination is even better.
It looks like there is at least one set of twins among them.
six kids is a lot of work!! WE were 5 at home and I always thought that I wanted at least 6. But after 3, I decided that was a good number :)
There is one set of twin the second oldest, they all really did enjoy the engagement.
I couldn’t imagine 6 but we just found out she’s on number 7 as of last month 😅

The dough are so colorful! All children love colorful play dough. And I don't think we can buy a smiling house... We will have to settle that by making one... 😉🤗

It was a good day, that picture is from our vacation visit to SSI. We took Chelsea and the kids out for a day trip around the island, it helps having the 3 of us adults to the 6 kids 😅

Yeah I think it's becoming quite expensive because there are lots of kid in the image and making a smiling house will be a great alternative :) Although, I listen this word first time “Smiling house”
Ahaha the kids are the smiling house 😅 it does get expensive quick with so many munchkins, going out for breakfast is nearly $100 so they tend not to do it often.
