5 Minute Freewrite - Oblivion

Prompt of Day 66: flash

I woke up to a bright flash blinding my eyes. I raise my head and to my horror I realise: I do not know where I am. Like sometimes when you're visiting your relatives for the night, waking up in the morning, for a second taking the bed for your own.

But this wasn't a pleasant surprise as such: I was sitting on a chair and I couldn't move. My body was limp. A panic raises, my heart starts racing; I am a prisoner in my body to observer everything happening to me without any control. I try to look up but it's too dark. I don't remember anything how I got here. I feel alone, I hope somebody was here. Maybe I don't, considering the situation I'm in.

Suddenly I feel a needle on my neck; My vision blurs, I'm going back to the darkness, out of the experience of chronological events.

Maybe it's better this way...
