Yeah, since the 1950's explorers have dumped millions of pieces of trash in space. Some burns up in the atmosphere but it could take centuries for a lot of it to come close enough for that. There's even debris left on the moon! A hammer, a feather (this made me chuckle a bit and I thought of your Gift From Nature post), rangers, etc. all still there, probably never to be retrieved. And let's not get started on what's been left on Mars... Could we please institute a "Carry In, Carry Out" policy for space travel?
