Sunday Freewrite: Before Midnight

BEFORE MIDNIGHT

She said she's a light drinker, that one bottle of beer is enough to get her havering; I can't lie, its not something I was avoiding. I really wanted to hear her innermost thoughts, she keeps way too much to herself and divulges next to nothing. I keep my evil intention in my mind as we chill in this boring party. "I really don't want to be a buzz kill but upcoming comedians aren't that funny" I said to her, "he's not that bad" she retorted with a crooked smile on her face then grabbed her cup of beer and poured a small portion down her throat. I saw this sight and couldn't help but muffle a smile as I took a sip from my own cup.

The night grew older and it was only a couple minutes to midnight, she checked her watch and said "its almost midnight, let's start heading back to your place", " huh?" I retorted in disbelief, "my place?" She then smiled and gobbled up the rest of her drink and I did the same to mine. A very ripe night it is indeed.
