Two flowers | Dos flores

This is my entry for Day 413: 5 Minute Freewrite: Friday - Prompt: vase
Thank you very much, @mariannewest!

Margot hid for almost a year. She managed to do it because she found people willing to collaborate even among the friends of her persecutors.

Thanks to that, she was able to reach the border and leave the country.

At first, it was difficult for her to provide herself with the minimum necessary, but hundreds of Human Rights defenders remained attentive to the massive phenomenon of which she was a part, and she received a providential share of humanitarian aid.

The following year, she was working as a cook and taking care of children in family homes; she was all a grandma.

Margot had grown older than she was. Silent and organized, she never bothered, but she wasn't pleasant either, because her suffering was noticeable.

She always placed two flowers in the vases of the tables of the restaurants and the houses in which she worked.

At that time, I didn't know that I would survive so long and I would still be lucid when it was learned that Mr. Y. would pay his crime and all other heads would fall...

Dos flores
Two flowers (SP version)
