We-Write - Response to the Prompt 'Wild And Woolly'
This story was written by @brisby and I as part of @freewritehouse's We-Write initiative. Check it out here! Brisby's lines are italicised and mine are not.

Wild And Woolly
The sheep were too numerous. He knew he was meant to keep track of them all, but….
Rosalita kept wandering down the mountain. George and Herman had found a way into the shed and, as usual, Loopy was in the tree.
How did Loopy even get into the tree? Ben had no idea. He didn't know sheep could climb.
Maybe it had something to do with the boots his sister insisted on putting on the poor thing.
She had insisted that sheep boots were the next big trend - she had seen them on TV.
If you asked Ben, they were the worst thing to put on that wild and wooly Loopy.
Rosalita, though - she would probably appreciate them. She was a sheep with style!
Every day, she’d stand patiently while Ben’s sister picked through the trunk of ribbons. If Sarah chose one that wasn’t to her taste, she ate it.
A lot of ribbons had disappeared into Rosalita's stomach over the years!
That’s probably where she was wandering off to now! The shop!
Ben hurried after her - the local shopkeeper had been so angry the last time Rosalita had showed up, demanding to see his finest garments and scaring off all the other customers.
The sounds of hammering from the shed were alarming, but not as much as the thought of having to fork out another week’s worth of wages to the spluttering shopkeep.
A shepherd's life was far from easy - Ben reflected that on balance, he really ought to have taken up something less stressful. Bomb disposal, perhaps!
By the time he’d reached the edge of town, Rosalita Fashionista was nowhere to be seen. How was she able to run so fast?
Those damn sheep.
Ben was peering through the window of the fabric shop when he heard loud screams and screeching coming from up the road. He turned to see a truck barreling his way, with Herman behind the wheel!
It was swerving all over the road, and Ben couldn't believe his eyes: so the sheep had taken up joyriding now, had they?!
The truck slammed to a halt in front of the shop.
Out stepped Rosalita - “thaaaaanks for the ride, Herman,” she said, blowing him a kiss.
Shooting her a saucy wink, Herman said, “You’re welcome, sweet thing! Check out the platform we made for you in the baaaaack!”
With a jaunty stride, Rosalita made her way into the shop, purse in hoof: Ben’s purse, of course!
He was about to follow her when he noticed the stage George was unfolding from the rear of the truck.
“George! Herman! Rosalita! You are in SO much trouble,” Ben roared.
From the tree built into the traveling stage, Loopy bleated happily!

Now that would be fun! Interested in writing one together and doing one of those author readings Marianne suggested?
Oh yes, definitely! We can make it a series. The Chronicles of Ben the Hapless Shepherd, perhaps? Or Rosalita Fashionista's Style Bible? 😉 Haha. I'll chat to you about it on Discord.
