DEATH ON THE TABLE (5-minute Freewrite)

The cards were dealt one at a time. Each person at the table got two before the dealer paused to ask the age old question.
"Hit or Stand?" He waited with the patience of Job.
"Uhh, well. I have a good hand. I guess I'll stand."
"Fine, sir. Ma'am?" A slight turn to the left and the dealer now faced the young woman in the tight red dress.
"Oh! Ha ha. Silly, you know me. Hit!" A card slid from the dealer's mechanical shuffler and was flipped over in front of everyone. The card was a seven of hearts.
"Bust! Damn it!" The young woman put her hands on the edge of the table and pushed back. She walked away from the table and out of the room.
"The table is yours, sir." The dealer looked at the final player.
"Hit." Without hesitation or thought. The card slid forward and was revealed. A black King.
"No! Why? This can't be! It isn't fair! I don't want to die..." As the man fought the outcome of the card he was dealt, two large men came to carry him to the exit.
"Tough luck for those two," the remaining player stated.
"Death is always on the table." The dealer smirked.
