I am boasting about the opportunity here, staring us in the face. The userbase of Steemit is compiled of an incredible spectrum of talent and creativity that is an untapped well. This well is deep and brimming with innovation.

That's what you came for and that is what I hope to deliver. I want to explore some opportunity with you and if you are a creative being that feels you have a service that you could possibly provide on this platform - please read on.

If you are currently offering services in exchange for STEEM/SBD, I have some great information and resources below. You won't want to miss this glaring opportunity to be a part of something incredible, so I hope this makes it to the right people.

As a partner of the Steem Freelancer's Guild / @steemfreelancers / #sfg and fellow freelancer of Steemit, I feel that I can offer readers some helpful insight. I am a proud supporter of #steemgigs and have completed creative works for over 125 steemians in my ~250 days here. I hope to help more people realize their earning potential as a Steemit Freelancer. I want to show more people that service providers are tapping a new way to earn.

We are not all code wizards that can create a bot. Not all of us can compose music. Some are not artistically inclined to create graphics. We are not all skilled in everything. At some point, all of us need some help and hiring good help is not always the easiest task either. Some of us have talents or skills that others do not.

What you might not know is that there are a few ways to put those skills to work (earn!). You might already be familiar with #steemgigs tag here on Steemit but I want to share ways to really capitalize. I want to show you how to become more established as a freelancer on Steemit.

What makes this blockchain special for freelancing?

• Trust:

Smart contracts between client/creative - reputation system + blockchain contract (what goes on the blockchain, stays on the blockchain)

• Speed:

Payment is instant - wallet to wallet transactions on a lighting-fast blockchain and no fees for transfers p2p.

• Increased Earning Potential:

Writing about your projects, before & after, can earn potentially more reward for doing the work. Clients can write as well and potentially reduce/eliminate the actual cost of the project by writing about it. Clients can also write testimonials for individuals that complete tasks/gigs/projects and both parties truly benefit from that being on the blockchain.

• Future is Bright:

With even more being developed behind the scenes, Steemit is going to see monumental change. The coming of SMT will further add to the rewards that can be earned and freelancers are no doubt going to benefit from this, as will the user base on this platform.

• Support:

Steemit has many pillars of support that can help you. If someone has taken your work without permission and is using it - there are many places to report abuse and that sort of behavior. It is not like many other social platforms where there's 1 centralized hub of support. On here, there are many. I would like to also introduce other means of support for freelancers below.

• STEEM/SBD Fluctuate:

This can be good or bad. Just as there is risk involved with the potential downside of the market, there's potential upside, too! This is one way to earn for providing service that also acts as an 'investment' which can potentially grow in value. A great example of this would be doing a project for $100 worth of SBD that grows to $1,700 in value within months. It happens. Just be smart with what you earn and do your due diligence, always!

Verify Trust	Check Reputation of anyone asking for your services. If they have low rep & no funds - you might not be paid for your work.
Value Yourself	How you value yourself is how you will be paid. You are worth more than you earn.
Need Help? Ask!	Help is always available if you ask the right people.
Use TAGS Properly	Use the proper tags/don't abuse tags. #sfg #steemgigs #freelancing
Show Your Work	When you exercise command in your field, people will recognize it. Show your process, share your ideas and projects to attract the right audience. Be yourself and show people what you do best!
Be Active	Engage! Communicate with people and network with people that have similar interests and initiatives. Be present and make yourself available.
