If you define freedom as the ability to spend your time doing what you want, rather than what someone else wants you to do, then I would agree with that Grandma that money can help make that easier. The problem though is that the more people have, the more they want, and soon they become slaves to money and the material possessions that they accumulate. I am still working on saving enough money, while learning to live with less…and I think that it’s easier to truly feel free when you find the right balance.
