How freedom is lost by the use of your votes

A very clear presentation by professor Walter Williams on how Americans are losing your freedom and becoming a totalitarian state...

We've been taught that the solution to our problems is the vote, that if something that is considered immoral or unethical is voted upon it becomes acceptable. He gives an example of something that would be considered a crime if any of us does it, but if government does the very same thing because we voted on it, it becomes acceptable.

While he describes the problem, he says nothing about the solution, so here it is... Your vote is a red herring and only serves to further your slavery to a system that is usurping your real power which is your resources. Your real vote is in the dollars in your wallet and bank account. I'm not suggesting a boycott in the sense of not spending your dollars at establishments that don't have your philosophical agenda. That would be pointless because that's just moving dollars around on the deck of the Titanic.

Instead, vote with your dollars by spending them into a system that doesn't support the state. Various cryptocurrencies such as bitcoin that are nationless and borderless do this. When dollars exit the system and are not being used by the people, it causes the velocity of that currency to plummet and it ultimately devalues.

You no longer have to be subject to immoral and unethical edicts. There's a third option. It has no borders, is censorship resistant, open source and if you know how to store bitcoin, it is also civil asset forfeiture resistant. The thieves raking in the biggest scores right now wear a badge.

When enough people stop using dollars in favor of various cryptocurrencies, freedom will come.
