RE: To The Talented New Writers - Don't Write for The Money! - 'The Game' and my Final Advice
There are so many hungry minnow mouths on here. I'm thinking straight talk socializing on here and taking the time to do it is the only option if you want to earn, and taking the extra time to do so.
I was told before I even started blogging. Is that if you build it they will come. We'll I'm building and they are coming. I have 99% minnows feeding me penny up-votes. I get it they are people, but I want to earn.
Maybe I should have anticipated that and not even started. I'm not one to kiss ass and beg for attention. But I'm feeling you kind of have to if you want to actually earn on this platform. I feel very strange about it. Thanks for your insights and kind words. I'll have a peak at that link you sent me.
On a further note. I see people like @magicmonk earning on average $30-50 a post no matter what quality work he puts up. But he's basically with the in crowd that's worth like 50k or more in steem. He'll get like 15 up-votes and it will be like 40 bucks. I'm sure he's not the only one like that.
All my voters can barely rub two steemit nickles together! Waaaaaa lol.
If you're brown-nose, post about positivity, success blogs you'll be followed and supported. This is how I see it so far. But to be fair, I posted consistently and kind of mixed topics based on my mood of the day, ha! I stick to my art, so $30-50 post doesn't really matter to me anymore.
But I say that they should have been 'transparent with how everything works here'.
Are you calling me a brown noser! lol In that case this platform was made for me. Even down to the latest reward claim is for everyone to see.
I've been on here longer than you with way more hours invested with the same exact experience just drawn out way further for less money. I'm not walking away from all that time invested without letting it be heard. Go ahead and look into my comments and replies. I suddenly have the attention of every person worth more than a 50 cent up-vote that has ever upvoted me. I've even sparked a meeting among the whales that is to take place this weekend. I basically said they are not keeping up with the growth of the platform and it could potentially backfire on all the overnight steem millionairs. Explaining that if they f-it up and turn a lot of people off, they can see their fortunes disappear as fast as they appeared in the first place. I went on to explain they need a whole office building (which they can now easily afford) of paid curators. To keep up with the inflow of new subscribers and quality content creators.
I suggest you speaking up to anyone you can get an ear from with over 10k in steem. I'd start with the @liberathe guy that propped you up just to let you down. @luczypher (72) was my resteemer out of the gate. Now I'm on my own like you. Spinning my wheels. He's a nice guy, I know it wasn't thought out or intentional he was just trying to help. It's just that we find ourselves swimming in a sea of minnows watching everyone drown each other out. While the people who signed up 6 - 12 month's ago are handsomely rewarding eachother on a daily basis. Basically you and I came in when this thing blew up, which blew up all their accounts and power. Without our inflow they wouldn't really have much of anything. Take a look at the chart the year chart of steem. Would have been nice to own some at 7 cents. You and I are like the working equivalent of coming in too late on an investment. If the currency does fall steep which, you could watch your 600 dollar account value get cut in half in no time.
Forget about my use of pronoun lol, it's not you! This is just the way I write.
I followed you I think long time ago because I read this really nice post about your travel in Medellin. I believe that you invested time and worked hard here too.
That was just my observation so far, but I really want to unfollow some people and just create my own list of people worth my time and upvote.
I'm glad that you are getting some attention now, maybe post more controversial topics lol, I honestly got tired of writing those things. So these days, I'll just stick to travel and my own stories.
well not all, if you see there are other people like us like @wakeupsheeps, @generation.easy, etc.
Thank you for that. I had no idea you were following me and read that. regarding that last bit. The main point I probably failed to make. Is that the advantage so many had a year ago is that those with 500 dollars of steem in their account, got to watch that 500 turn into 7-10 thousand, blasting them into a powerful position now. The only thing they did to earn that was see it coming or get lucky...like picking the right stock. You and I really can't compete to get 10k in our account any the way things are going with earnings and curating, compared to how their money was made. If steem goes to 10 dollars that would be the equivalent for you and I. Maybe it will but I doubt it.
