In the second screen shot you see 2 votes. I wasn't fast enough to get a shot of the vote value but it was $0.05 before it went to zero . My own auto vote for myself was and is $0.03 shot taken at 25 minutes

That isn't censorship, nobody kept you from saying what you wanted.
You just aren't going to be awarded for negative content.

Since when has it been negative to disagree with another person's point of view and yes it is censorship because you're being penalised so you don't step out of line. There is more than one way to skin a cat mate. Just because YOU don't like it doesn't make it negative. Many are to obsessed with "fake" positivity just to get a vote. Speaking your mind on how you feel about something is not negative. I suspect you read the post with a predetermined "negative " perspective and judged me on YOUR preconceived expectations of what YOU consider to be right.
I actually have a very open mind and was not judging you, but the first sentence of your post was name calling and followed by a lot more of the same.

You're complaining about being censored, all the while asking for people to censor themselves for your personal feelings.

Ok now that i'm not having to reply to 10 people at the same time i will address this even if you do want to shut the debate down with that "rhetorical" statement.
Thats just the point I was making. A few words like snowflake and you/other people get all upset, but it's ok to force uncouth behavior in my face on a daily bases. It's not negative, it's provocative to say words like snowflake and so on. Yes im' willing to admit that I was wrong and you where not judging me, however in the heat of the moment i may have confused your comments with another. So i retract the statement that you where judging me or that you don't have an open mind .
I was not so much complaining that "I" was being censored but that censorship does exist on steemit albeit more subtle than actually removing a post. Its still censorship. You will see more of this when what is being termed " The flag wars " come out and into the daylight. I do not want people to censor themselves I want want them to bugger off and stop trying to make ME constantly think about how THEY feel while disregarding how I feel. If it was the case of them calmly asking me "would I care to help people understand about their plight" occasionally, that would be fine, but not 10 times a day , not mention the incident that triggered my post., which I will now mention to give you a reference point. My daughter came home from school and told me, "dad I think my teacher might be a stranger danger, she wants to talk about my pee pee and it's ok if I want to look at other girls pee pee's".. I almost past out with shock. How would you react ?

It only happened because i wasn't afraid to state my true opinion in a previous post. It was about homosexuality. It's not that I'm against it, I just don't want it forced on me or my kids all day every day.

But I don't consider the flag that was put on your post to be censorship either. To me, censorship would be if Steemit.com could delete your post. They can't. It will stay on the blockchain permanently. The worst that can happen is your post is hidden, and then all someone has to do is click unhide.

Yeah, I guess it's a form of censorship but it's just other users, not Big Brother. I'm thankful it's WE that are able to do it and not THEM.
There's nothing wrong with sensitivity, I think the problem nowadays is with oversensitivity and the opposite which is being totally insensitive.

To flag back just find the little flag icon at the top right of each post.

Stuff like that is going to happen and has happened. Sad, but I don't think it's going to affect Steemit overall. Just a few people being childish. I think most of us here are adults.

I don't really pay attention to the mainstream media. Their job nowadays seems to be to just stir up the hornet's nest. They rarely report unbiased news. And they skip over a lot of important things. So I think if they're really promoting it and you're offended by it, the best thing to do is not watch. There are plenty of alternative news sources.
I'm not really sure what offends you. Actual imagery of homosexuality, or talk of gay rights, etc.
I believe that everyone has the right to do as they please as long as they don't violate anyone else's rights or harm anyone. So, I agree when you say you don't really care what people do.
I really don't care what anyone does to be honest with you its up to them but the school my kids go to started spouting rubbish about it's ok for 5 year olds to be gay thats just wrong mate just wrong and I needed to unload. Not sure if you have kids but that a big fat line they crossed with me. You can't switch the government off..you know what i mean .

I almost past out with shock, I went into a rage, things got broken and it was all my wife could do, was to restrain me . I have never been so angry in my life. I went down to the school and very harsh words where said and manny threats were made from both sides. I ended up taking my daughter to new private school. I explained what had happened and they assured me "that" would not happen at their school as it's against their policies . It costs a great deal of money but its well worth it...lol... thats why I found streemit, looking for ways to come up with more money to pay tuition fees
Hey brother. My daughter is about to start school and I am not very impressed with the quality of all schools period. Although I am in the south (Georgia), where schools are the lowest performing, I still expect some agreed upon standard of school quality. Schools as a whole have massively dropped in quality due to state run education (common core). I never thought I would send my daughter to a private christian school, but they are the only ones around here with ANY sort of values that they insist on teaching. I have found a school that recommends not letting your child watch tv, or play with electronic devices/phones due to there obvious negative/perverted effect on our society. The kids are taught to work by participating in chores (taking out trash, sweeping, etc,), and if necessary are spanked (with permission/supervision of the parent). They also insist on not sheltering kids from the real world, as this sets them up for failure. When I was growing up I would take that as extremely radical/cult like. Now as I am older and can see the way society is going, this is the type of education that I want my daughter in. It is obviously a private school, and has only 80 kids. The alternative is public school and that is just not acceptable to me anymore with the drop in quality. Its another $400/month investment that I believe will pay off. Frustrating though...
well that's the problem right there...you pay your taxes for the public good and pay private to protect your own...it's all ballsed up...don't believe it's still going on all these years...people are like they say...useless eaters...but they made it that way...generational suicide

I always take a look at opposing views and opinions that are diametrically opposed to my own. It really opens your eyes, and you may find out some things about your view points that fundamentally change where you stand on a topic. I don't perceive your post as negative, and I would be upset if my posts were censored in any way. Thanks for shedding some light on the other side of the coin.
Thank you... I see, that you see, my whole point. People don't seem to understand that we must speak our minds so that everyone knows where we all stand. No hidden secret opinions , all out in the open. It builds trust, even in a person that you may disagree with. Destroying trust is the agender behind all of this political correctness we have today I believe.

Question. If your post gets flagged can that stop up votes? If the community likes your content and keeps up voting you anyway will you still get your reward even if you got flagged? Sorry Im trying to figure it out.
the flagging removed the first 2 upvotes and then more upvotes came in and I was rewarded further . Will it be payed out ? well we will have to wait 7 days to find out. Never be sorry for asking a question. There are no silly questions only silly answers.

I think it's a blurry line between shunned and being censored. This seems more like a shunning. Still sucks!
I see your point but when a person can remove another person's vote value, that looks like subtle censorship to me. coercion to comply to someone else's opinion is censorship in my book.
