Selling Lemonade To Help Raise Funds For Cancer Treatment

in #freedom5 years ago

Two children recently put together a lemonade stand to support a young girl who is in a battle with cancer. A crowdfunding initiative had been set up for the girl and the two girls (one 4 the other 2 years old) sold lemonade to their community and raised more than $100 in one day.

The mother of the girl who is currently battling cancer admitted that she didn't know the girls, but that she was thankful for their effort to try and raise money to help her daughter. Their mother also admits that she was thankful for the opportunity to teach her children a valuable lesson.

Help Others If You Can, When You Can

It's nice to see that authorities didn't take the time to shut this operation down and that the girls were allowed to sell some lemonade to those who were willing to buy a cup. Thankfully, nobody from the community called the police on the entire operation.

Several years ago, another kid had wanted to do the same thing in running a lemonade stand to help sick kids and his stand was shut down by the city because he didn't have the right license and insurance.

The same thing has happened in the United States as well on a number of occasions.

Children shouldn't have to be subjected to violence in order to serve others in their community some lemonade and it doesn't say much for the freedom of those in the region when they are required to obtain a license and pay fees etc, before they have the freedom to serve willing parties a few simple drinks.
