Voting happens every 3-5 years - life happens every day

If you say you don't vote, people might accuse you of being apathetic, assuming that you've given up all hope of making a significant difference. However, many people who chose not to vote have done so - not because they feel apathetic - but because throwing away a piece of paper every four years seems futile, when you're working every day to make a difference.

You can change the world in subtle, small ways - even starting with smiling asking your neighbour how he's doing. You can meditate, donate to charity or do charity work, or use cryptocurrency in an attempt to mitigate the power of big government. The ways you can find to make things better are literally endless.

You do make a difference every day, with your eating habits, your conversations, and choosing how you spend your money. It's a difficult question, but as conscious beings we strive to ask it frequently: Are your habits aligned with the change that you want to see in the world?

If I'm going to vote for something it needs to completely peaceful or act in defence of peace. When faced with the lessor of two evils the only vote to cast is a vote against both evils.

This is very true. It reminds me of something Dan's said it goes something like: voting is akin to electing a king every four years.

Interesting view on the topic but I do not fully agree with the implications. I encourage people to go to the votings but I am also kind of the person who lost hope in the representative democracy that we face today. But it has features that allow us changes so the part with representative could be modified. Long story short: when you dont want to vote for a party - its okey. I couldnt recommend you any. But i suggest: go vote and do something to invalidate the bill. Draw a penis or something. The reasoning is easy: the voted representatives tend to see non voting as a sign of approval. If 40% of the population doesnt seem to care about changing the rules - then the rules seem fine. To invalidate the bill meens to be seen in the statistics. It means: you care but everyone on the bill sucks. The best way to demand a negative voting system - if your state doesnt allready have one. If it does - go vote and vote against all. until we have the kind of participation and political reasoning that can fill in this heavy word democracy
