THE ROBBERY

Lisa and Fred walked into the shopping mall to buy some baby stuff for their unborn baby. Fred went to the men’s section to pick some stuff while Lisa checked the baby section which was just opposite Fred as he constantly raised his head to pick a glance at his beautiful wife. Fred looked to drag his gaze away from his wife when he noticed a strange look on her face,the look signalled something far more mundane. He hoped his instinct were off, but he followed Lisa’s gaze to the bulky man who stood behind the security guard… his hand at an angle difficult for Fred to see but he was pretty sure it was a weapon. Though he couldn't see the weapon, he knew it from the way the security guard stiffened. His heart was thumping, adrenaline priming every nerve and muscle, readying him for a fight that he never bargained for, the fight to keep his pregnant wife alive. Fred made a signal to lisa not to scream, Not to even think of triggering the alarm but she couldn't understand and he knew she was about to run for the alarm when he made for the man with the gun hoping to push him to the ground and avoid Lisa getting shot but he was one step too far and right before his eyes he saw Lisa fall to the ground, red blood already dripping from her head… he screamed as he woke up with tension all over his face and sweat all over his body. Lisa woke up a bit shocked as Fred grabs her face and gave her a warm kiss… glad it was just a dream.
