A Sunset Walk on the Beach
Emily got up from the couch where she had been lounging all Saturday. She was having her lazy day routine. Wake up at 6 am, slip on some comfy clothes and catch up on the shows she missed during the week. By now the afternoon sun had caught up with her. The snacks she gathered this morning were now done. She felt peckish, again. She gathered goodies from the fridge but was in no mood to prepare anything. Something was wrong, watching movies all day was meant to relax her, but it somehow had the opposite effect. Emily felt bored. Watching movies had just become another routine she thought. After grabbing a quick snack, she wandered around the apartment wrecking her brain and rubbing the back of her head for inspiration. She needed to lift this gloomy haze and break the shackles of her self-imposed confinement. Emily picked up the phone and called the love of her life - Helen, “Hey, baby are you done working yet? These walls in the apartment are caving in on me, I need to get out.” Helen, responded excitedly,” It’s such an awesome day out. I will be done in an hour. Let’s get some drinks at Long beach cafe and have a sunset walk on the beach.”
