RE: Fort Galt Update: Clearing The First Build Site - Photos

If there's anything I've learned in construction plans (and execution), is not to underestimate the delays that may happen! Too much variables over a reasonably long time span.

Looking great :) Is it the entire patch in the pic?

Haha, yep!

  1. Make your plans.
  2. Figure your timeline.
  3. Calculate your anticipated costs.
  4. Launch
  5. Change your plans
  6. Double the timeline
  7. Change your plans
  8. Double your cost projection
  9. Change your plans
  10. Finish and vow to never do that again.

lol yeah, pretty much... except for the last one because I'm a masochist.

lol, there are always exceptions. I think they're called general contractors, though I've heard them called a whole lot of things.

Absolutely! It's often even worse in southern Chile because of how laid-back the culture is. Everything takes longer than we think they should.
That rectangular patch in the picture is roughly the building's footprint. They still have some more work to do though. I'll take some "after" pictures when they're done. The community land as a whole is about 100 acres (pictures of the res are on the website)

Yes, I can imagine, pretty much laid back in South East Asia too! Being the middleman, I always needed to explain the delays lol. I see now why you needed the drone :) All the best, and will be eager to check out on the progress!
